Bry and I had a post easter celebration at Manila Hotel's Cafe Ilang-Ilang last week. It was our first meeting after a week of being away with each other because we spent our holy week with our own families. The last time I had a buffet was valentine's day at Taal Vista Hotel. It wasn't much of a buffet though. But this! Cafe Ilang-Ilang is one of the best buffets I had up to date. They offer different kinds of cuisine and is arranged per station. If I'm not mistaken, they have ten stations. My favorite is the Italian section. Love love their four cheese pizza!
Here's a sneek peak of Cafe Ilang-Ilang's luxurious and modern interior design. Who would've thought that an old building with not so impressive exterior can be surprisingly beautiful on the inside. "Don't judge a book by its cover"
We reserved a table for two by the window (as always). So this was our view. Just love seating by the window because for one, it gives me great lighting for taking photos and I just like seeing different view aside from the restaurant.
Here are some photos of the buffet stations.
Appetizers in Thai section.
Pastries
We loved this shrimp from the appetiser section!
Still on Thai station.
Japanese station
American/meat station
Italian station
Here are some of what we had.
Zucchini Soup - Yummy!
Lettuce in thousand island dressing sprinkled with some pine nuts and shrimp.
More salad
Some kani, maki and salmon - loved the california maki!
My favourite - four cheese pizza!
Organic brown rice, thai fish fingers, tempura, calamari, spicy fish fillet and chicken curry.
"Few" slices of baby back ribs, beef, roasted chicken and taosi fish fillet.
The dessert station was still Easter themed. I loved that they have little jars of cute gummies on the wall. Their sorbets were so good too! There were some unique flavours and are sugar free or low fat.
Hello Creme Brûlée!
Bry's cup of happiness.
My summer themed dessert.
And my happiness. Cheeeeesy. lol!
Cafe Ilang-Ilang is an excellent buffet. We'll surely come back. And oh! The service was very good. The servers always attend to our needs. They always check on us every thirty minutes or so just to ask if we need something. I even saw a waiter helped an old woman carry her plates. Such an excellent service and they're all smiling. The chefs were very helpful too and recommends some food to us if we looked kind of confused on what to get. haha! This is my new favorite buffet place <3
