Along Roxas Boulevard, stands Midas Hotel and Casino that gives you a breathtaking view of Manila Bay. Its lavish interior design will surely assert you to stay. I finally had a taste of one of the most reviewed hotel buffets in the city. Thanks to my boyfriend who brought me to this avante-garde hotel for an exciting dinner.
Midas Hotel and Casino.
You will see the Midas Casino at your right side when you enter the hotel.
But before you recognize the casino, the astonishing furnitures and decorations will struck you first.
Especially this one. Two huge contemporary shelves filled with different sizes of orange boxes and lights. Plus, a stage for band performance with leather couches in front.
Opposite the shelves is the reception area. In front of it are these well shaped leather seats that won't surely bore you while waiting.
Of course, a hotel wouldn't miss the best decoration to display during Christmas Season. Their Christmas tree is so tall that it almost reach their high ceiling. Decorated with blue lights and silver ornaments.
The jaw dropping ceiling. WOW!
After having a look at the contemporary interior of their lobby, we took the lift up to the 2nd floor where Midas Cafe is located. Time to have the most awaited dinner! Ready?
Sleek and moders tables and chairs.
First station was occupied with a variety of pastries.
Pastries sculptured extraordinarily just like those fishes and a huge loaf engraved neatly with Midas Hotel and Casino.
Soup Station where you can choose your own ingredients.
Salmon.
Lamb.
Viands Station.
Some of the viands lacked taste and some of them were unforgettable. My favorites are the chicken and shrimp curry, bicol express and spareribs.
Middle Station consists of salads, fruits, raw seafood and meat, cheese, maki and other appetizers.
Unique center piece.
Different kinds of maki.
Salad ingredients.
Different kinds of ham.
Potato salad
Another type of potato salad.
Grilling Station.
Raw Meat
Raw Seafood.
Kinds of sauce.
Our grilled shrimps and baked mussels :)
Sweet fruits!
Sweet, sweet watermelon! I ate 2 slices while waiting for the grilled seafood.
Three kinds of authentic cheese.
Rice Station. They have 2 kinds of rice, the plain one and mixed fried rice.
Pasta Station. We asked the chef to cook Fettuccine Alfredo for us.
Tadaaaa! It looks very delicious right? But I didn't like the kind of cheese the chef used. It was a bit bitter.
Unlimited drinks station (coffee, water, iced tea, juice).
Last but not the least, dessert! The dessert table had an Empire Hotel miniature as a center piece. In New Yooooork! :D
The colorful dessert table was my favorite. Although they don't have a chocolate fondue, I was satisfied with the wide array of sweets that were served. There were different flavors of cake, macaroons and other desserts that I can't seem to remember the names of each because they're so many! Have a look at the photos and maybe they could also satisfy your cravings, or maybe not? :P
We ordered for a crepe with mango fillings and strawberry ice cream on top to end our heavenly dinner.
All in all, the buffet was satisfying, not crowded, the ambiance is relaxing & some of the food taste exceeded my expectation. I loved the unlimited flow of drinks, the dessert table and the accommodating and friendly staff who always check on us if everything was alright. As much as I want to go back again at Midas Cafe, it won't be anytime soon because I have a long buffet list on hand that I'm dying to try! Hope you enjoyed reading this post! see yah!
