The Lighthouse Marina Resort contains one of the best trademarks in Subic, the lighthouse itself. You can find the lighthouse as a backdrop at any picture taken along the shores of Subic Bay. The hotel having the said trademark is also famous. Having strolled along waterfront road, I can say that The Lighthouse Marina Resort is the best hotel in the area. Just by looking at the hotel's exterior, you will know that this is not a budget friendly accommodation. Especially at night when the lighthouse lights up and changes to different colors. A lot of movie scenes or shows was taken in this hotel including the current teleserye, Dyesebel. Filipino celebrities were spotted staying in this luxurious hotel as well.
Hotel Lobby: We booked the Aqua Veranda Suite a month before through travelbook.ph. It was our first time to book a hotel using that website. Glad to say, everything was smooth. The website and the hotel's customer service was very easy to reach.
Welcome drinks are available upon arrival. After checking in, they gave us the card which is the key to our room. Internet details and some remainders were also handed to us. Fruits and complementary bottled water were present when we entered our room.
Mini Bar: Self service free coffee and tea. Chips and drinks from the mini bar comes in a price.
Located beside the Mini Bar is the wardrobe which contains bath robes, vault, disposable slippers and the laundry rates. You can ask them to iron your clothes for a certain price but you can also borrow their iron for free.
Aqua Veranda Suite features: King sized bed, floating bathtub, glass encased shower, 42" lcd tv with cable, lan internet, dvd/mp3 player, ipod/iphone dock, mini bar, balcony with bay view, comfortable mattress and lush pillows, controlled air conditioning, coffee and tea making facility, telephone. Note: All rooms are non-smoking.
After checking out the room facilities and unpacking, I freshened up by having a relaxing bubble bath. I almost fell asleep! You can also watch tv while taking a bath since the only thing separating the bathroom from the bed room is the glass panel with blinds.
We went down to Sands restaurant around 5pm for the free cocktails which starts at 4pm. We chose to have a table by the pool overlooking the the trees and Subic bay. Sooo relaxing! Free cocktails were automatically served to us. Have I mentioned that Lighthouse Marina has its own ATM? Yup, just run to the BDO atm near the pool whenever you need extra cash. After finishing our drinks, we went out and walked along Subic bay where we saw a lot of great neighbouring hotels. Of course, we wouldn't miss having a pictorial! ;) And oh! Don't forget to try the free foot therapy by stepping on those yellow stones. It tickles at first but it's so relaxing.
After strolling around the area we went back to the hotel to get the car. We had our dinner at Meat Plus Cafe. I don't care if there are other restaurants better than this. All I can say is it was the highlight of our Subic trip. Do not miss dining at Meat Plus Cafe! It's a must. I swear.
We enjoyed the rest of the night in our super comfy king sized bed. Hot chocolate drink was served in our room as a night cap. Can't wait to wake up and have the buffet breakfast!

Buffet breakky at Sands Restaurant. There were a lot of varieties ranging from continental to western to filipino food choices. I loved the egg station where you can make your own omelette or however you like your egg to be done. Fruits were very fresh. Loved the four seasons juice. The waiter asked us if we want anything anything else. I said hot chocolate and it was served right away. What a great way to start the day! <3
We had a last photo op on top of the lighthouse after having breakfast. Lighthouse Marina Resort surely gave us an exceptional weekend getaway. The hotel is great for couples as well as families. Book it if you want only the best in Subic! Superb customer service, clean rooms, the glass encased bathroom was the best room feature. Amazing view from our aqua veranda suite! We'll surely be back and will recommend this hotel to everyone looking for a nice place to stay in Subic. <3
