HOTEL REVIEW: Harbour Ville Hotel | Singapore

My cousin and I stayed in a standard room on the 6th floor. The room was good for two but the bed can fit three medium sized girls. I booked our room through Agoda for 60$ per night, not including breakfast. We prefer to have breakfast outside the hotel since we're also into trying different kinds of Singaporean food.

The nearest train station from Harbour Ville Hotel would be Harbourfront MRT Station. From Harbourfront station, we took a cab to the hotel and paid 4$. Harbourfront MRT station is located in Vivo City. Vivo City, I believe, is one of the biggest malls in Singapore. It is where you can find ferrys heading to Sentosa island, or cable car linked to Sentosa. You can also opt to walk from Vivo City to Sentosa. They say it would only take 30 minutes and it's free.

Going to Harbourfrount station is easy. When you walk out of the hotel, go right until you find the bus stop at the other side and cross the street. It would take around five minutes. Ride the bus going to Harbourfront. There is a guide located in each bus stop so you don't have to worry which bus to take.

Aside from the ones ready in the hotel, we had extra pillows, water bottles, coffee and tea delivered to our room free of charge.

Extra space for luggages. You can also leave your luggages in the reception before checking in or after check out. It's safe and there are others who do it. We did too. I even left my personal pink bag which contains my laptop and other personal items. Nothing was lost.

Fresh towels everyday.

Check in and check out was smooth. I just showed my passport upon checking in and they gave us the room key together with the business card and wifi password. The friendly receptionist didn't look for the agoda reservation that I printed. There are also tourist information and brochures available in the lobby. Laundry is available at the second floor for 5$. We used the iron free of charge. :)

Harbour Ville was the perfect hotel for our last two days in Singapore after returning from a weekend trip in Kuala Lumpur. Our last two days were reserved for Universal Studios Singapore and souvenir shopping at Bugis Junction. The location was just perfect for our agenda. Transportation in SIngapore is easy and smooth even during peak hours. We stayed in Hotel 81 Dickson for our first few days in Singapore before we went to Malaysia. Between the two, I prefer Harbour Ville Hotel. It has a window and a nice view of the clean street. Hotel 81 Dickson and Harbour Ville Hotel are for those looking for a descent budget accomodation with space for luggages, private room with bathroom and nice location. They are both simple, no frills hotel. Just the right place when touring during the day and just coming back to rest and upload photos during the night. Both hotels that we tried have strong wifi! :)
